Zhiqiang Shen Wins WSOP Online Mini Main Event

Zhiqiang Shen, playing online as panzhanle, won the $500 Mini Main Event at the 2026 WSOP Online on GGPoker, defeating Japan's Seiichi Kanemitsu heads-up for $747,545, a WSOP bracelet, and a $30,000 Super Pass to the 2026 WSOP Paradise Super Main Event.

The Chinese champion topped a 12,113-entry field that generated a $5,753,675 prize pool. Kanemitsu, playing under the handle Ditto1031, finished second for $576,111, while Malaysia's Lee Wee Liew, playing as BadbeatSong, took third for $444,257.

Shen Converts Mini Main Run Into Bracelet Victory

The Mini Main Event carried a $500 buy-in and advanced 1,208 players to Day 2. By the end of that stage, the tournament had been reduced to a nine-handed final table, with Shen ultimately securing the title and the largest payout attached to the event.

No heads-up deal was made between Shen and Kanemitsu. That left the full first-place prize intact, giving Shen $171,434 more than the runner-up payout.

The win also delivered a $30,000 Super Pass to the 2026 WSOP Paradise Super Main Event, adding a confirmed WSOP Paradise package to Shen's cash prize and bracelet result.

International Final Table Closes Out the Event

The final table featured players listed across eight countries, reflecting the broad reach of the online championship. Shen, Kanemitsu, and Lee Wee Liew occupied the top three places, with China's Ziqian Wang finishing fourth for $342,583.

Brazil had two players among the final nine. Rafael Yamaki, playing as rafayamaki, finished fifth for $264,182, while Mauricio Rocha, listed as maucirio, placed seventh for $157,109. Montenegro's Vladislav Chechenin finished sixth for $203,727.

Argentina's Ignacio Sagra took eighth for $121,162, and Cyprus's Nikolaos Angelou-Konstas completed the final table in ninth for $93,443. Every finalist earned at least $93,443 from the $5,753,675 prize pool.

Largest Reported Prize of the Series at That Point

Shen's $747,545 payday stood as the biggest reported prize of the 2026 WSOP Online series when the result was published on August 26. For a $500 buy-in event, the combination of a five-figure entry count and a multimillion-dollar prize pool made the Mini Main Event one of the series' most significant results.

The outcome gave Shen both a bracelet and a path into another major WSOP-branded tournament through the Paradise Super Pass, while also closing one of the headline events on the 2026 WSOP Online schedule.

Another Bracelet Event Still in Play

The Mini Main Event concluded while the $5,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold'em Championship remained in progress. Eight players were still alive in that event, which was scheduled to resume on August 26 at 7:00 p.m. BST with a $371,793 top prize and another bracelet available.

That left the 2026 WSOP Online schedule with another championship outcome still to be decided, while Shen's Mini Main Event victory had already locked up its bracelet, top payout, and WSOP Paradise qualification.
