Ralfs Blumbergs Wins 10250 Plo At EPT Barcelona

Ralfs Blumbergs won the €10,250 PLO Unlimited Re-Entry event at the 2026 EPT Barcelona festival on August 27, converting a 122-player field including re-entries into a €303,300 first-place payout.

The Latvian player closed out the Pot-Limit Omaha tournament by defeating Finland’s Markus Ristola heads-up. Ristola earned €189,400 for second place, while the event generated a total prize pool of €1,183,400.

Blumbergs Tops a €1,183,400 PLO Field

The €10,250 buy-in and unlimited re-entry format created one of the festival’s notable Pot-Limit Omaha prize pools. In total, 17 players reached the money, with Blumbergs taking the largest share after navigating a final table that featured a broad international mix.

Spain’s Vito Recchimurzo finished third for €135,500, followed by Finland’s Tommi Lankinen in fourth for €104,200. China’s Biao Ding placed fifth for €80,200.

The remaining listed final-table payouts went to Denmark’s Rasmus Larsen, who collected €61,400 for sixth, and France’s Imad Derwiche, who finished seventh for €48,500.

Final Table Brings Six Countries Into Contention

The official final table was set after Sweden’s Filip Lovric was eliminated in eighth place. That left seven players chasing the title, with Latvia, Finland, Spain, China, Denmark, and France represented among the final group.

Finland had two players in the top four through Ristola and Lankinen, but Blumbergs carried Latvia to the title. His heads-up win over Ristola decided a tournament in which the top payout exceeded the runner-up prize by €113,900.

The gap between the top three payouts was also significant. Ristola’s €189,400 second-place prize was €53,900 more than Recchimurzo’s third-place result, while Blumbergs earned €167,800 more than third place.

EPT Barcelona Result Adds to Festival Winners

Blumbergs’ victory formed part of the wider 2026 EPT Barcelona schedule, which included several completed events across different formats and buy-in levels.

Other festival winners included Jamie Dwan in the €25,000 No-Limit Hold’em event, Marcin Puczylowski in the €1,100 No-Limit Hold’em tournament, and Tobias Leknes in the €5,200 T.O.R.S.E. event.

For Blumbergs, the €10,250 PLO Unlimited Re-Entry title stands out for both the size of the prize pool and the quality of the late-stage field. The final result delivered Latvia the win, with Finland claiming second and fourth in one of the festival’s higher buy-in Omaha contests.
