Negreanu Fourth In WSOP Online High Roller

Daniel Negreanu fell short of another World Series of Poker bracelet on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, finishing fourth in the WSOP Online $25,000 High Roller Championship on GGPoker for $415,699.

The result extended a strong year for Negreanu but left two targets out of reach in this event: a ninth WSOP bracelet and his first online WSOP title. He began the final table third in chips, moved into the lead during the early stages, and later doubled back into contention before his run ended against eventual champion Casimir Seire.

Seire Takes the Bracelet and $906,647

Casimir Seire converted his late-stage momentum into the title, winning the bracelet and the $906,647 first-place prize. He defeated Fabiano Kovalski heads-up, with Kovalski earning $699,120 for second place.

Erwann Pecheux finished third for $539,095, while Negreanu’s fourth-place payout of $415,699 placed him just ahead of Pedro Neves, who took fifth for $320,548.

The remaining listed final-table payouts went to Ole Schemion in sixth for $247,176, Roman Emelyanov in seventh for $190,599, and Parahat Nurmuhammedov in eighth for $146,971.

The Key Hand Against Negreanu

Negreanu’s tournament ended when he called Seire’s all-in holding pocket tens. Seire showed nine-eight and improved to two pair, sending Negreanu out in fourth place and pushing the eventual winner closer to the title.

The hand was a costly turning point for Negreanu, who had already moved from his third-place final-table starting position into the chip lead before later needing to rebuild. His final result was still a major score in one of the highest buy-in events on the WSOP Online schedule.

Another Near Miss in the Bracelet Chase

Negreanu had already won his eighth WSOP bracelet over the summer. A victory in the $25,000 High Roller Championship would have added a ninth bracelet and given him his first online WSOP bracelet, but the fourth-place finish kept that milestone unresolved.

For Seire, the win delivered both the bracelet and the largest payout of the tournament. His path to the title came through a final table that included Negreanu, Kovalski, Pecheux, Neves, Schemion, Emelyanov, and Nurmuhammedov.
