ClubWPT Gold is winding down its Nevada operations after state regulatory action, setting a short timeline for local players to finish play and redeem remaining account balances.

The sweepstakes-based poker platform has already stopped accepting purchases in Nevada. Players in the state can continue entering games until midnight on September 28, 2026, and have been asked to redeem remaining balances by October 2, 2026.

Nevada Players Face Two Key Deadlines

The Nevada exit centers on two confirmed dates. Gameplay remains available through midnight on September 28, while October 2 is the stated deadline for players to redeem remaining account balances.

ClubWPT Gold’s model provides free poker chips as part of purchases made for poker hand analysis. When redeemed, one chip is worth one dollar. That makes the redemption window especially relevant for Nevada players who still hold account value.

The company described the wind-down as a response to state regulatory action. The specific action behind the decision has not been identified, and the announcement does not indicate a broader shutdown of ClubWPT Gold.

A Smaller U.S. Footprint for ClubWPT Gold

Before the Nevada withdrawal, ClubWPT Gold was available in 42 states. Removing Nevada reduces that reach to 41 states and takes the platform out of a market with thousands of players.

The move also changes the online poker landscape for Nevada residents. WSOP Online remains Nevada’s only traditional licensed online poker site, while ClubWPT Gold had served as one of the most visible alternative poker formats available to players in the state.

ClubWPT Gold had built much of its tournament identity around large guarantees and recurring events. Its roughly biweekly $218 Gold Million was promoted with a $1 million guarantee and 1,000,000 chips, giving the platform a regular high-profile tournament offering.

What happens to those guarantees after Nevada’s removal is not yet clear. The eligible player pool is now narrower, but no confirmed changes to daily prize pools or recurring tournament guarantees have been announced.

Live-Poker Ties Add to the Stakes

ClubWPT Gold’s presence has extended beyond online tournaments. The platform supported a $5 million ClubWPT Gold Invitational Freeroll at the 2024 WPT World Championship and offered $1 million to qualifying gold-ticket winners who won a bracelet at the 2025 WSOP.

Jesse Yaginuma and Michael Lavin won bracelets after being identified as gold-ticket winners. That promotion linked ClubWPT Gold’s qualification system with major live poker events and placed the brand inside a broader tournament conversation.

The relationship became more complicated during the 2026 WSOP, where players were not permitted to wear ClubWPT Gold patches. Yaginuma and James Carroll also received lifetime WSOP bans after being found to have chip dumped during heads-up play at the Millionaire Maker final table. Those developments remain separate from the Nevada regulatory action, but they form part of the platform’s recent live-poker context.

December Super Gold Million Still Unresolved

The largest open tournament question involves the planned $400 Super Gold Million at the 2026 WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas in December. The event was scheduled with a $3 million guarantee.

Because Wynn Las Vegas is located in Nevada, the platform’s state exit creates uncertainty around the event. No change to the tournament has been confirmed, and the effect of the Nevada withdrawal on the planned guarantee remains unclear.

For now, the operational facts are limited but significant: Nevada purchases have ended, gameplay closes at midnight on September 28, and balance redemptions are requested by October 2.
